Meet Ms. Simón
Hi! I'm Ms. Simón and I'm so excited to spend this year with you! This is my 26th year at Round Meadow, where I've taught 3, 4, and 5th grades. I am originally from New Jersey where I completed my college and graduate education and also taught 3rd and 5th grades for several years. I have a degree in English Literature, a minor in Biology, a Master's in Teaching, and a few other smaller credentials. Even though I have lived in California for over 20 years, I am still a Jersey Girl at heart! I go back every summer to spend time with my family and childhood friends, making time to visit NYC, New England, and go down the shore. My husband, Mark, is originally from Boston although we met here. We share a love of reading, live music, and superheroes! My favorite is Barbara Gordon - AKA Batgirl; librarian by day, crime fighter by night! We have a very cute, and sometimes very stubborn, rescue dog named, Zoe. She's going to be 12 this January. According to a DNA test, she's part Husky, part Akita, and part bulldog! We kept in touch with the folks who rescued her brother and sister and get together with them often. She was the runt of the litter but perfect for us!
